The 2022 recap: #MakeAMove

Considered one of the most critical national elections with the adversities of the pandemic, the ultimate voice of the Filipino people in the 2022 national polls is definitive of the future towards which we, and the next generations, will lead.

Now in its third edition, The Rundown 2022: A Youth-Focused Senate Elections Forum continues its legacy of hosting an unbiased and informative election forum for young people, by young people.

Built on the principle of youth empowerment, The Rundown 2022 is anchored on the theme “Youth at the Forefront of Change: Turning Conversations into Collective Action”. With young Filipinos representing more than half of the country’s registered voters in 2022, their votes have the power to trigger a paradigm shift in the current Philippine electoral landscape.

For the first time in The Rundown’s history, this year’s forum will be held online via a live stream on The Rundown’s official Facebook page on March 12, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Young voters will have the opportunity to interact with the Senate candidates in a series of roundtables and open forums as they tackle the most pressing issues of our time.

In 2022, The Rundown officially partnered with the Elections Commission (COMELEC). In its previous editions, the Election Forum has been endorsed by government agencies such as the Department of Home Affairs and Local Government (DILG) and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).
